Welcome to John Byner's Biography!

The past television season, John starred in the two hour movie IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT. He was pleased to have been chosen to star in the final episode of the long running CBS series.

Recently, John co-starred with Mary Tyler Moore in another CBS special A COMEDIANS SALUTE TO ED SULLIVAN. A show that he performed on twenty-three times.

John's last series COMEDY ON THE ROAD which aired for the last four season on A&E won him his SECOND ACE AWARD. The FIRST ACE was received for his hilarious BIZARRE SHOW which aired for six seasons.

John recently co-starred as DR. FRANKENSTEIN in the PBS EMMY nominated special LAMB CHOP AND THE HAUNTED STUDIO starring Shari Lewis.

To add to his already impressive list, JOHN was seen in the role of COTTON DUNN on SILK STALKINGS for both CBS and USA networks as well as hosting THE BOWERY BOYS series on A&E.

He will always be remembered to night-time SOAP fans as DETECTIVE DONAHUE in the long running series on ABC. John is always a favored guest of LETTERMAN, LENO and SNYDER.

A man of a thousand on the mark impressions John has made millions laugh over the years. John has shared the stage with such luminaries as: FRANK SINATRA, MEL TORME, DIANA ROSS, CAROL BURNETT, JAMES INGRAM, BUDDY RICH, ANTHONY NEWLEY, JEFFREY OSBORNE, HERB ALPERT to name a few. He headlines in RENO and LAS VEGAS four times a year.
